Other requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of study is recommended.
  • Health and accident insurance covering costs in Switzerland is required. If the insurance in your home country does not cover the costs, a Swiss insurance has to be taken out.
Information on Work Permits and Visa
  • Work permit is mandatory but will be requested by the employer.
  • The visa depends on the country of origin. For Schengen countries, no visa is usually required, an identity card or passport is sufficient. (For further information, see "Overview of ID and visa provisions according to nationality" in documents)

Current Covid-related regulations for the entry: - People from non-risk countries can enter Switzerland as usual. However, no Schengen-Visa are issued and it is not clear when this will be done again. We therefore can only accept students from countries where no entry visa is needed. For the need of a visa, please check the attachment below ("Overview of ID and visa provisions according to nationality"). - People entering Switzerland need a negative coronavirus test conducted not more than 72h before entering the country. - People from risk countries who are not EU/EFTA/UK citizens are not allowed to enter the country. - People who come from a risk country but have such a citizenship have to quarantine for 10 days after arrival. On the 7th day, an antigen rapid test or a PCR test can be done and if the result is negative and a permission by the cantonal office has been received, quarantine can be left.
