Available months and cities
Cities vary from year to year. Placements typically take place between June and August.
Students are generally housed in rental housing or in a residence at the closest local university, if applicable. Local Exchange Officers (LEOs) located in each province will be matched to a student upon confirmation of exchange placement to help facilitate placements and approaches in finding accommodations. Students will most likely have to pay for housing.
Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration
Unfortunately, we do not offer any kind of pocket money. However, some placements might offer bus tickets or accommodation, at their discretion.
English (required), French (Required in Quebec only)
*Even though Quebec is mostly a French-speaking province, it is recommended to be bilingual (French and English) to ease communication, as some placements may be in some more multicultural areas. However, English is not a requirement.
Varies; some placements might prioritize applicants who are further along in their studies.
Please note that since March 2020 there has been a mandatory two week quarantine upon arrival in Canada. If this regulation is still in place during a students' SEP, students will be required to complete this once entering Canada.
